JOB OVERVIEW
This role is responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing, and continually evaluating the North Lake County EMS system activities. Job duties include maintaining positive relations with customers and students, achieving high quality educational outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards, mentoring program instructors, ensuring that quality educational programs for all levels of EMS personnel reflect the standards of the Federal Department of Transportation guidelines, enforcing educational policies, and ensuring that all educational programs are approved by the Illinois Department of Public Health and operate under at state-awarded site code for training and continuing education.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a healthcare related field, current licensure as a paramedic or registered nurse in the state of Illinois, certification as a BLS instructor, BTLS/PHTLS instructor, ACLS instructor, EMS lead instructor and PALS instructor. Must possess management experience, and three (3) years of clinical experience, with paramedic/EMT training required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. Must also have strong organizational and analytical skills.
