Since 1972, Albuquerque Ambulance Service (AAS) has been providing Bernalillo and Sandoval counties with 911 emergency and non-emergency medical services and transport. Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services since 1994, Albuquerque Ambulance employs an elite team of paramedics, EMTs, System Status Controllers in field operations and communications. AAS provides high quality pre-hospital patient care and transport to all nine local hospitals, including the only Level I Trauma Center in the state. AAS utilizes state-of-the-art Type 1 and III ambulances equipped with GPS, digital mapping and a full compliment of ALS patient care equipment. Believing that the customer is the central figure in the healthcare setting, the staff at AAS collaborates with the Albuquerque and Bernalillo County Fire Departments, and various law enforcement agencies to meet the needs of our patient.
